How to Configure Call Home

Specifying HTTP Proxy Server

To specify an HTTP proxy server for sending Call Home HTTP(S) messages to a destination, perform

the following steps:

2. call-home

3. http-proxy {ipv4-address | ipv6-address | name} port port-number

configure terminal

Example:

Router# configure terminal

Enters global configuration mode.

Step 2

call-home

Example:

Router(config)# call-home

Enters Call Home configuration submode.

Step 3

http-proxy {ipv4-address | ipv6-address | name} port

port-number

Example:

Router(cfg-call-home)# http-proxy 1.1.1.1 port 1

Specifies the proxy server for the HTTP request.
